Solar Brunch is a concept that we launched early 2022. The idea is to create a social event focused on ways to be less dependent on energy and promote the use of solar energy in a fun way: solar cooked food, solar powered music. If the sun comes down the event can continue and be “human powered” by using bike generators we built specially for the ocassion.

We wanted to host an event in which we could start a conversation around these natural systems and alternatives we can use in some of our daily activities such as cooking. Taking into consideration the slow part of the process in which things aren't so immediate and we make this more of a ritual and an enjoyable thing done in group.

We hosted the two first editions (first in May during Architecture week and second in MDEFest in June)he urban garden Bioma in Poblenou in collaboration with Kris De Decker from Low Tech Magazine.
